Land Rover, a luxury all terrain SUV brand from the UK, was founded by Morris Wilkes in 1948 and is currently under the Tata Motors Group in India. [1-2] "Landrover" was translated into "Land Rover" in Chinese Mainland. When it was listed in China, it was found that "Land Rover" had been registered as a trademark. "Landrover" was registered as "Land Rover" in China. Land Rover currently has three major product families: Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender. In 2003, the Land Rover brand established an office in China. In 2008, Tata Motors of India acquired the Land Rover business from Ford and officially established Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company in the same year. In 2009, India's Tata Motors Group introduced its 2010 Land Rover Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Land Rover Discovery 4, and Land Rover Freelander 2 to China. In March 2010, Land Rover Defender was launched in China. In 2017, the all-new Range Rover Velar was launched.
